On the 21st November 2023, the Government released the new National Minimum Wage (NMW) rates which will be coming into force from the 1st April 2024.
The increase in April 2024 will be the largest increase in the minimum wage in cash terms.
Furthermore, the changes to the National Living Wage, as per the recommendations from the Low Pay Commission, also mean that employees aged 21 years and over will receive the National Living Wage, where this was previously only applicable to those aged 23 years and over (and in years before, this had only applied to those aged 25 years and over).
The new rates of pay show an increase of at least £1 for all categories from the previous year, as outlined below:

Additionally, the accommodation offset rate will also increase to £9.10 per day.
