Statutory Payment Increases

From the 1st April 2018 the minimum wage and national living wage will increase as follows

• Age 25+ – £7.83 (previously £7.50)
• Age 21-24 – £7.38 (previously £7.05)
• Age 18-20 – £5.90 (previously £5.60)
• Under 18 – £4.20 (previously £4.05)
• Apprenticeship rate – £3.70 (previously £3.50)

From the 6th April 2018, the maximum week’s pay for redundancy payments and the unfair dismissal basic award will rise to £508 (currently £489).

The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal rises to £83,682 (currently £80,541).
