Our team is CIPD qualified and has experience in a range of organisations, industries, and sectors.
Jane Carroll
Partner
Jane is a Chartered member of the CIPD, holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, an Advanced Professional Diploma in Employment Law and a Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring. Jane manages our strategic HR projects and complex employment law casework and has extensive experience resolving challenging employee and business issues.
Outside work, Jane is Chair of Trustees for a national charity and mum to three crazy Labradors. She enjoys walking and reminiscing about her youth at the occasional ’90s rave!
Trish Metcalfe
Partner
Trish founded Solutions for HR in 2001 and currently works on a consultancy basis and manages the business administration of the practice.
Trish is a modern-day Judith Chalmers, always exploring somewhere exotic.
Jayne Coleman
HR Consultant & Head of Services
Jayne is a Chartered member of the CIPD and is an ACAS-accredited mediator. She has over 20 years of HR management and consultancy experience, working in a range of public, private, SME and large organisations. Jayne manages our Reactive Team and supports complex and strategic casework including TUPE, restructure and exit strategies.
In her spare time, Jayne is a Trustee for a Multi Academy Trust. Weekends are filled with volunteering with football and dance activities and walking in the countryside. She is passionate about live music, attending as many ‘indie’ gigs as she can!
Rebecca Alderson
HR Consultant & Head of Account Management
Rebecca is an HR graduate, with a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in HRM as well as an Associate member of the CIPD. Rebecca leads on HR projects including recruitment, engagement and benchmarking and supports employee relations and commercial casework such as redundancy, investigations, capability, TUPE, grievance and appeals. Rebecca manages the Team providing our outsourced HR Department service.
When not at work, Rebecca loves to travel and explore new places. Weekends will find her exploring the UK with our Chief Wellbeing Officer, Dougie, no matter what the weather.
Janet Richardson
HR Adviser
Janet is an Associate member of the CIPD with over 20 years of experience in a variety of operational HR positions for both public and private sector organisations. Janet supports a wide range of employee relations matters such as flexible working, disciplinary, investigations, performance and medical capability, grievance and appeals and leads on policy development.
Kirsty Peel
HR Adviser
Kirsty holds a Masters in HRM and is an Associate member of the CIPD. Kirsty supports a wide range of employee relations matters such as employment status, contract for service, working time, disciplinary, grievance, performance and medical capability and appeals.
Rachael Hall
HR Adviser
Rachael holds a Postgraduate (Level 7) Certificate Employment Policy and Practice and is CIPD Level 5 qualified. Rachael supports a breadth of HR matters including absence and performance management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and redundancy.
Outside of work, you can find Rachael in one of Manchester’s many eateries, dancing at music festivals, and travelling and exploring new places, whether that be hiking through jungles, skiing in the mountains, partying in Ibiza, or just relaxing on the beach with a good book and a pina colada in hand.
Stacey Bennett
Trainee HR Adviser
Stacey is undertaking her Level 5 HR Adviser Apprenticeship having successfully completed her Level 3 HR Apprenticeship in 2023. She provides adviser support in family-friendly legislation, flexible working, probation reviews, disciplinary and termination, and now leads our recruitment function.
Stacey is also an avid adventurer, spending her spare time exploring castles, caves, and ruins, or thrill-seeking at theme parks.
Rachel Zieme
Trainee HR Adviser
Rachel is undertaking her Level 5 HR Adviser Apprenticeship having successfully completed her Level 3 HR Apprenticeship in 2023. She leads on contract and policy development, holiday and working time, HR processes and procedures, HR systems and reporting.
Outside of work, Rachel likes to spend time with her family and friends or hide away with one of her hobbies – reading, knitting, gaming and eating (unfortunately not all at the same time).
Josh Atkinson
HR Assistant
Josh is an LLB Hons Law Graduate undertaking his CIPD qualifications through an Apprenticeship route. Josh leads HR process guidance and mapping, HR systems, transactional HR administration and reporting.
Hallie Buckley
HR Assistant
Hallie is our most recent Level 3 HR Apprentice and supports HR system maintenance, transactional HR administration and recruitment.
Dougie Alderson
Wellbeing Officer
Dougie plays a key role in promoting pawsitivity, employee engagement and wellbeing across the Solutions for HR Team. Dougie is a strong advocate for exercise, (healthy) eating and strong communication to increase productivity and social wellbeing in the workplace.
When not motivating the Solutions for HR Team, Dougie spends most of his time free-water swimming, socialising at the park and the occasional dog-friendly pub lunch.
